I have a LVW-5005 and I just noticed the jitter issue. I'm running the latest firmware with the 3-hour and MV hacks applied, and I'm considering adding some heatsinks in an attempt to eliminate the jitter from my recordings.
I would just like to hear from anyone else who has tried this to see if it is worth the effort. Or, should I downgrade to an earlier firmware release
as suggested by the fatal flaws post? Or is this a servicable problem that LiteOn will fix?
I should add that my jitter problem is not all that bad. In fact, I didn't notice it at first. However, once you see it, you begin to notice it more and more.
Anyway, thanks for any advice...

Cooling mods will likely fix it, yes.
Adding a heatsink, a fan to blow across the motherboard, air vents in the case, prop up the back of the case about 1"
See this for some added details (near bottom):
