  1. MList is a program that was had off this site. It is unstable. Now that I have 4 huge stacks of CD and DVD data disks the program no longer will work to show me what is on all of them.

How can I make table of contents of my data disks?

Yea, screen prints are possible. However, sub directories do not get copied; each one requires a new screen print. MList used to do all of them in one click. That was really nice.

Is there another program that actually works for the long haul?

    Thanks

That is where to get it.
I got it to work again. However, it is a pain.
I am using win2000. The file downloads as a zip file. If I unzip it by default it goes into the unzipped folder. It works ther if I don't do anything to it.
A "Catalogs" folder is added for files that are made using the program. i've saved that folder and it contains all my disks for over 5 years. The folder must be made or unmade read only, that must be turned off to access the files. Click on the folder after pasting it into MList folder, choose properties, unclick read only, select all subdirectories too. Then it works.
I also got it to work if I added a folder called MList to C/Programs; then it unzips into it and works.
Sometimes I've had to copy one new disk into an empty Catalogs folder in order to get it to work. After that, I can delete the Catalogs folder and replace it with a full one that is not read only. That works.

This is a great program. However, it cannot be moved. If you cut and paste it from the Unziped folder it wont work anymore?!

Try it and post your methods here.

Is there another program like this anywhere?

Visual CD--will also let you make txt tree listings in addition to its proprietary files.
