I use DVD Rebuilder + Canopus Procoder to compress DVD9 to DVD5. It works fine but one little thing...
At the end of every chapter it inserts the code "0x000001B7" which is "sequence_end_code". Some DVD players don't care about such a code, but mine does. And at the end of every chapter it freezes (statters) for a moment. Pretty annoying
How to remove this code? It should be just '000' insead of '1B7'. To do it manually doable, but not so simple. Maybe there are some settings in Rebuilder or in Procoder?

  2. Have you checked the Original?
DVD Rebuilder doesn't touch that... I don't think Procoder does that too!?!?
My oppinions may change, but not the fact that I am right!

Yes, i did, and original is OK - no 1B7 codes...
I think Procoder does that by command of RB. Maybe I'm wrong, but what else? And how to get rid of it?

Flanker, are you positive that the sequence end code is your problem! How do you know for sure that this is what causes the playback to freeze for a moment. Typically, this happens when you have non-seamless playback between cells.
How did you figure out this was your problem, did you look at the VOB file in vobedit?
    jeanl
BTW, you can remove it in vobedit, but you would have to do that for every end of chapter, and you'd have to locate where it is!!! Not easy. If I were you, I would do it on the first chapter, just to make sure this is indeed the problem (I doubt it). Simply replace it with 0x00000000 in vobedit. Make a backup though! vobedit writes right away as soon as you change anything!

DVDSubEdit: a free tool to modify your subtitles directly inside the vob.

    Thank you, jeanl...
Right, first I thought it is non-seamless playback between cells, but when I check it in pgcedit, it were OK - seamless playback where it should be.
Later I've started to analyse my VOBs in vobedit and I've found that it has sequence_end_code where it shouldn't. I know how to remove it manually, but question is how to prevent it been playced where or at least how to remove it in more simple way

Flanker, you can remove it using ReStream,
see thispost on an unrelated subject, where the author has to use ReStream to remove the end of sequence codes..

But first, I would remove 1 by hand, right at the end of the chapter.

The fact that the seamless playback flag is on does not mean that playback will be seamless. It has to be authored that way (it's complicated, but this means some of the audio from the previous chapter has to appear in the next chapter cell), and I'm not sure if that's the case....
Also have you looked at all the options provided by DVD-RB and procoder to see if you can avoid the sequence end code altogether?

About all these settings, i didn't find the one which is responsible for that. There are some that could be related, but I'm not sure yet since i didn't try them so far. But i'm going to
