O.k.. Here's my question.. I'm trying to capture video from a SamSung camcorder.. I'm using the S-Video out to the computer.. I'm using a Xpert TV-PVR 883 card with PowerProducer 2 Gold software.. I get a video but No Sound.. Is there supposed to be sound or am i doing something wrong?

When i use the TV Reciever, it gets sound..

    Thanks for the help..

  2. S-Video does not have Sound you must use Audio Cables,Your Capture card should have (Audio Out) or you can go right into your sound card.

    EDIT: (Audio Out)

O.k.. Next question, how would i get the sound from the camcorder to the computer? Will i have to use a microphone? In essence, if i use the microphone, will i lose sound quality?

  4. There sould be (Audio Out) connections on the Camcorder,(Red and White Wires).Or somthing that looks like a Mic Jack.

Does your Camcorder not have (firewire)?,this would be the best way to get the Video and Audio onto the computer.

  5. the S-video input is for video only. You will need to connect your camcorder audio cable to your computer. I looked online at your card an I don't see where you can connect the audio to it. You might need to connect the audio from the camcorder directly to your sound card input. I dont know the software that you are using can capture the video from the card and the audio from your sound card at the same time. Can your capture card capture from the s-video and the TV cable input at the same time?. Because you could use an RF modulater which allows you to connect video(yellow RCA jack) and L/R audio(white/red RCA jack) to the 75ohm coax cable tv input on your capture card. Then you would only need to connect the audio. This I know is a round about way and the quality might not be all the great. The best bet would be to connect to the sound card.

    good luck
