Well, I've burned my very first VCD... and it doesn't work. (Suprise!)

I tested it out on my standalone Panasonic DVD-880, and it didn't recognise the VCD.

The odd thing is, I played an old VCD I bought years ago, and the player plays it fine, same as always.

I run both on my PC using PowerDVD, and both play perfectly.

Why would my standalone play 1 VCD, and not mine? I followed all the guides to the letter... *sniff*

  2. It's your dvd player. I had the same problem. Some dvd players can play only store bought vcd's. The dvd player has to be able to handle CDR, CDRW, like a pioneer or a Philips 711

Try a different brand of CD-Rs. And if that doesnt work, try using CD-RW instead.
I only dream in black & white...
