  1. i have a divx file i converted to an avi, but when i put the disc into my dvd player the screen scrolls vertically, is there a solution for this? the movie runs fine, picture is good, as well as the sound, just the constant scrolling is a problem.

  8. well i reconverted making sure it was set to NTSC, just tried watching the disc and the screen was still scrolling...does anybody else have any suggestions....also, while previewing the converted file, the picture is perfect, with no scrolling

  9. i converted the file again, this time making sure it was NTSC, same problems...then i noted the guide that was linked in aprevious post and under aspect i left it at automatic, and the guide has it listed as "force 16:9". could this be the cause of the vertical scroll? i tried testing it out with the settings changed and my VSO converter stopped within 2 seconds of clicking convert.

No. I still put my money on a PAL/NTSC issue. What's the frame rate of your source video?
