is it possible to convert a movie in PAL 25 FPS to an NTSC 29FPS? i have an xvid movie and its in PAL 25FPS but i want to convert it to a dvd NTSC 29FPS. i have looked all over this website and other ones too but cant find any success. i want to use TMPGEnc to encode because it can use filters from VirtualDub when frameserving. If there are any other programs that can do the PAL to NTSC conversion better and can take VirtualDub filters please let me know. thanks alot.

You can't have looked too hard.

You can either search the forum for dgpulldown or Pal NTSC conversion, ot you can go the the How To section where there is a whole conversion section, including many guides for format conversion. Finally, browse the guides forum itself for any unlisted guides.

Given that this question gets asked 10 times a week (at least) just a quick browse of the first page or two of the conversion forums would have got you results.

    Ave,

Check out my PAL -> NTSC Threads in this Forum.

I have successfully converted PAL videos to NTSC DVDs using TmpgEnc Xpress & DGPulldown and BeSweetGUI for Audio. That's all you need and it works perfect.
