LiteOn 5005 or Ilo DVDR04 or what DVD+R Recorder?

Hey, I need help getting my next DVD+R Recorder. I want a DVD+R recorder that I can make region free, get a macrovision hack and not too expensive. My first recorder it was the Philips DVDR75 and it absolutely sucked, It gave me a ton of errors... Then I got the ILO DVDR04 and I think Its a good choice if you have a 3 year replacement plan... and yesterday I got the ILO DVDR05 but Im going to return it this week due to lack of Editing options like breaking chapters

Should I get the Lite ON 5005? or the ILO DVDR04? or what recorder do you suggest me? I saw the Lite on on amazon.com but Im not sure if their return policy is good like walmart... Please, any help and suggestions would be appreciated

so you returned your first dvdr04? Which one would you say is better picture quality, the 04 or the 05?

Anyways, I have both the 04 and 5005, the only differences are..

5005 over the ilo 04
1. records to dvd dash media
2. records to audio cds
3. records to s-vcd equivalent to 4hr mode on dvd
4. records to vcd equivalent to slp on dvd

other than that, its pretty much the same exact thing, you can hack both, same menus, same problems. I know the 5005 can be anywhere from 40 and up plus dollars than the 04, so its up to you if audio, vcds, and dash recordablility are important to you. The picture quality is the same exact between these models, since ilos are rebadged liteons

I had bad luck with LiteOn, both the 5001 & 5005. I have an ILO DVRD04 and it's great. I also use it as my primary player after my trusty Apex 1500 started to act up....

Another option (for a little more) is the ILO HD04 with the HDD. You have full editing on the HD04 to split and remove commercials or hiding chapters. It is also hackable to remove the MacroVision and add a 3-hour LP mode.
