I have read the forum in the DVD compatibility lists and I was wondering if anyone else has tried new CD-R media on the Sony DVP-S360 and gotten it to work.
In the forum, it says that people used Princo or Prime Periperhals, but those brands are not available anymore.
I was wondering if the Diamond or TrueSilver CD-Rs work, because they are supposedly just like regular CD's. Has anyone tried these? Any other kinds that will work?

hi,
i dont know abt the new cd-rs but you can het princ0 cdrs
http://www.dsgi.com, http://www.cdrom2go.com but the problem is you have to buy min 100 CDR's. or you can get Prime CDRs from office max website go to the site there will be a coloum on the right side saying speed shoping. under that in the order-by-number coloum put the item number 20015591 and press add it will add the item to you card. but the thing is it si 200 CDRS bulk. but the preice is good 52 $ and free shipping.
Enjoy

I have the sony DAV S300. I have been using the circuit city's cheapest brand for VCD and audio as well. The brand is "Digital Media" CDR and came in spindle packs. I'm using the CDR 650 MB(74 min) size and burning with Nero. I haven't tested the 80 min or the CDRW yet, so don't know if they work. Since I have heard all sonys have same problem with playing CDRs maybe this will work for you.
Good luck

I have a DVP-S360 and also heard that Ofice Max Prime Peripherals worked. The first time I went to look for them, I did not find them so I thought they were not selling them anymore, but I went there again for something else and thought I would look again and found them. The packaging is very plain and the Prime Peripherals name is very small. My local Office Max still sells them so you might want to look again. I did not buy any yet so I have not tried them - but if you gave up on the Sony and bought an Apex, I guess you really don't care about this anymore - thought I would post anyway in case of helping anyone else. I hope the Apex works out for you - Good Luck.
