I use intervideo to capture video in MPEG 2 format. I can load and play the video when importing them to Premiere. However, when I drag the video on to the editing timeline, the audio no longer works. The audio compression is MPEG-1 Layer II. I searched it up, but did not find any help.
Do I need to download any codecs or plugins? I do not think I need any codecs since I can play them on the computer.
I'll appreciate any help.

do you see the audio? or does it not play?
you can always convert the audio to wav using some other software like goldwave and use in premiere pro.
