RIght now I have a radeon 9500 pro. I am wanting to get my vhs recordings to my computer so I can burn them to dvds. Is buying a new video card the best thing to do or can I buy something else cheaper? also what kind of cable do I need to connect the vcr to pc?
if it matters I have an audigy 2 zs video card

If u bought this new, it should have all the cables u need in the box. If not, then i suggest u go to a store that sells this sorta stuff, and they'll help u out.
I recently got a 9200Radeon, and everything i needed was in the box.
btw, does "zamac_man" mean u r into hotwheels cars?you say Y,
I say Y not? -

That card does have a video 'in' jack? I thought the 9500 Pro was only a display card?

"All In Wonder" = graphics + video
no "All In Wonder" = no video, just graphics

Non AIW won't capture any vdeo, they are output only. You either need to get the AIW version or buy a separate TV card like ATi TV Wonder.
I've had TV Wonder Ve for a number of years with only one major problem, way back when Windows XP was new and ATi was slow in getting XP compatible driver out. I generually use VirtualVCR with the TV Wonder VE and used Huffyuv and haven't had any problem getting the capture at all, not even a dropped frame
