I have been trying without success to convert some asf files to DVD. I have tried resetting the order of the DirectShow filter in Environmental settings. I continue to get the error message that the file is unsupported or uneditable. I have attemted to use TMPGenc DVD Source Creator, TMPGenc Plus, and DVD Santa, all with no luck. The thing is the files play fine on my computer in either Zoom Player, Media PLayer Classic, and Windows Media Player.so I am not sure if it is a codec problem.
I attempted to research this on the forums already and have tried most of the suggestions offered still with no success.
Thanks in advance for any advice / help.
Also just wanted to say thank you to all of the great members on this site as I have been coming here since the days of VCDhelp.com and you all have taught me everything I know about converting, burning, etc.
Thanks again.![]()

Run the ASF files through ASFIndexerGui and see if it helps, or convert them to AVI first with ASFtools, then encode to Mpeg. If the files are DRM protected, there's nothing you'll be able to do. If you're familiar at all with AviSynth, you can frameserve the file using DirectShowSource("MyFile.Asf")
