  1. Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to add a button to a menu that also has a background text in it. I used dvdremakepro to combine 2 split discs. It created a start menu that lets you pick disk 1 or 2 but i also wanted to add a button the the menus to go to the other disk. So if i pick disk1 on the start menu, it sends u to that menu but when u are there, i want to place a button that says "disk2" so u can jump the to other disk. I added a button but there is no text or image that explains what it does.

so basically i would want to know how to place a button that also has a background image to it.

    is this possible?

    thanks

    Jay

Sure... the buttons are only mappings on the screen. If you want text in them, place them on the background image. You can use a subpicture image to enable button highlighting.
    ICBM target coordinates:
    26° 14' 10.16"N -- 80° 16' 0.91"W

  3. i understand that u can place the mapping over an image but i am talking about placing a button where there isnt an image there already. so i want to place a button there that has an image there refering to the new command.

    and...

    what does this mean:
You can use a subpicture image to enable button highlighting.

    thanks

  5. I'm only guessing here, but from the description of DVD Remake Pro, it does not add content to the menus, only modifies what is already there (change navigation commands, delete buttons, etc.) If you want to add buttons for additional functionality, I believe you need an actual authoring program. If anyone is actually familiar with this software, please correct me.

    As for this:
You can use a subpicture image to enable button highlighting.
he is stating you can add a highlight (subpicture) to an image so the user will know it can be selected in the menu.

  7. Merge the two movies as per usual.

Write down the instructions in the buttons.

Author your own menu (I use GUI for DVDAuthor) and substitute it in for the merge menu via replace cell option. Reprogram the buttons via DVDRemake, using the old instructions from the merge for 2, and whatever you wanted for the extra.
