  1. Hello

I was wondering whether it is possible to change the Text assigned to a Menu Button without re-authoring the whole DVD. I understand that the DVD needs to be ripped to the HDD, and that I have done. But then I could not figure out how to change the texts.

If possible, please let me know how.

    Thank you.

If all you need to change is the overlay then MenuEdit or perhaps even PGCEdit can do it.

If the button is in the background image (and pretty much every menu I make does this) then you will have demux the image out of the menu, alter it, then put it back.

  3. Yeah, I'm not exactly sure which he means either. However, if you're changing the text of a still menu, then my guide may be of use:

    https://forum.videohelp.com/topic313743.html#1606732

If it's the Subpic that needs to be edited, then open the menu in DVDSubEdit, export the Subpic in question (File->First assign an editing app in Preferences->followed by Edit Subpic Bitmap with external tool) , and then reimport it (File->Replace current subpic with BMP file). The editing part for both processes is up to you.

  4. Thanks...
I shall go through the guide manono posted and post the feedback here.

What I want to do is this: Say the button has a text assigned as "Play". I would like to change the word "Play" to something else keeping every other things just the same. So The button will function the same only it will be known as something else but "play".
