  1. my speakers went a bit funny last night and when i touched back of subwoofer it was so hot i could'nt keep my hand on it.
is it normal for subwoofers to go really hot?

  2. I don't think so - my KEF PSW1000 (a proper subwoofer for a separates hifi) stays cold in usage. A little computer "sub" shouldn't get hot either. Maybe there's something wrong with it?

Can't speak for everyone's sub, especially since I don't have one for my PC, but my HT sub has a heatsink on it, and it can get pretty warm.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
