Was there an increase in speed between versions .64 and .84? I just upgraded last night and my total conversion time went from 5 hours to 2 hours. This is with CCE set on 2 passes.

I usually sleep when using DVD rebuilder / CCE, but I haven't noticed any reduction in time. I think I would have noticed a three hour time savings though.

Unproper and proud of it -
i upgraded from v71 to v84
using 5 pass on a p4 2.8ht
and its like 7 hours
was about the same before -
Maybe its my memory. I thought it took longer as I too set it to go over night.

the speed isn't based on rebuilder itself, its based on the encoder primarily. did you use the same source disk, and same process setup?

No I think I know what happened. I only used Rebuilder in the past for long movies and fulf disk backups. it has been so long since I used that my memory was backing up 3 hour movies. This time I did "The incredibles" which is far shorter, therefore less encoding time. I'm going to get some sleep now so I can start to think clearer for now on.
