  1. hello.. newbie question probably.. can you hook up a scart cable from say a region free player w/scart output.. to a dvd recorder via a scart to s-video type cable.. and remove macrovision?.. i have seen the scart to s-video cables(monster makes them).. but i am really unsure if i could do this..i would like to "back up"or "fair use" dvd's using my sony rdr gx-300(1) and my rjtech 800divx player,also any "new" hacks on the sony?other than whats out here now, or use the red pro device?via an s-video adapter... not really too much out there for this recorder.. other than making it region free which i don't really need,just the macro is more of a concern to me really...thanx!

    No. You need a special cable with built in MV removal (if you don't have a hack). Sonel do one but you can get them on ebay often enough.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
