  1. Recently I wanted to run a software which required the .NET framework. So I promptly loaded .NET and all the hotfixes suggested by Microsoft. Now my system has become unstable. Whenever I tried to encode anything with TMPGEnc the screen suddenly gies blank and the PC shuts down. This happened many times so it could not be a random event. Finally I uninstalled the .NET framework and now I am back in business.

Is it me or others have also experienced something similar ?

Sorry to hear that. I've had to install .NET for a while now for some apps that I use and have never had a problem. Of course I installed .NET at the begining before I installed alot of other stuff on the Computer.

Did you install ALL the .Net updates?

I know if you're installing through Window$ Update,, there's at LEAST one update for it once you've installed the actual .Net Framework.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

I installed .NET after most of the programs were on my computer and never noticed any troubles with it.

  5. Yeah, I installed the .NET framework first. And afterwards it showed me another hofix update. So I loaded that also. But I dont know ... somehow my system started giving problem.

Anyway, for the time being I am happy without .NET.
