show us all a link to your first post at Videohelp so we can have a blast from the past . If I don't see any I will go hunting and start embaressing people if they don't want to embaress themselves . I can see the forum only goes so far back. What is the oldest post on the forum? as https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1&highlight=#1 doesn't exist

I was looking for a specific post so I decided to check out my first post. It was a thread asking how to split a DVD with the movie/menus one one and menu/extras on the other . Simple to do now but a little difficult to do manually back then

Its sounds the same as splitting the movie to 2 DVD's but I want the whole movie on one DVD not split

I've read that many different guides, searched forums and cant find one that explains how to do this

    Cheers
once I mastered stripping a DVD, I started my stripping Ifoedit guides HERE as there were no decent ones around at the time. I got quite a few hits in the first few weeks so it kept me interested as I enjoy helping others a lot. I guess good old DVDStripper spawned from the guides as it was time consuming trying to blank a single cell. I knew it could be done faster if automated and although I was over at Doom9 at the time (that was a laugh and a half ) eventually The Mad Guy ( 8) ) coded up my ideas even though he knew little about DVD's

so true, so true but not so much these days as it's just to easy to customize a DVD. It isn't fun anymore trying to work out how to do it all or troubleshooting issues. Ah! the good old days 8), I guess I need a new hobby to keep my brain active

    -RW is eraseable and reuseable.
    -R is write-once.
Second post was about removing a TBC because it was
causing errors instead of fixing them.

    Pretty bland stuff. :P

Great program, too bad they have stopped development on it as of the most recent version.

Helping a guy make a VCD. This was right after I wrote my first VCD creation guide for OS 9. At the time the only tutorial out there was by Super Squirrel (or something like that) and was filled with terms I didn't understand and referenced programs you couldn't find. So I wrote my own and grouped all the programs together.

Hey Doc, you did ask for it! Never known anyone who missed his yellows as much as you did!

I just spotted this post when I was catching up on recent warnings issued (I go through every week or so and remove the ones I think are pretty minor without being asked).

As a spin off of this thread, how about the most generous post ever made here? I think this one is a strong contender:

Silly thing is I'd been reading the site for about a year before I actually signed up. I didn't want to start posting until I knew a little bit more about what I was posting about. So much for that idea

I'm sad'en by this news. I sure would have loved to know what dumb-azz
    post I may have posted.
    .
But, I think it might have ben on VCD; ATI; and MMC; related, because that
was around the time I got my ATI TV Wonder pci card, and it was one of my
first capture cards ( I did have an even cheaper hardware mpeg card before
then, but it could only put out postage-stamp-size mpegs )

    @ Baldrick

Google has cache pages. Have you tried doing a search for something,
and then hit cache or something ??

Anyways.., just a thought. Would be great to have VCDhelp in its
    entirety

You can laugh and point fingers at me, but please explain what the green square under my avatar is exactly.

Thank you everyone that helps make this the best video website around. Probably the best source for info on handling digital video files around.

    Thanks

I could also post my first last post on OT, that's a good one.

I needed help with my POS Pinnacle DC10+. I ditched it for an ADVC-100 a short time afterwards.
    If in doubt, Google it.
