TMPGEnc won't take my .d2v as an input file. What am I doing wrong? I was following the instructions from
http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/TMPGEnc1CD.htm
I used DGIndex to rip my DVD.
I also can't get TMPGEnc to show my custom template after I created it so my expert settings aren't unlocked.

Hello,
I had the same problem:
Step One: In TMPGEnc go to Environmental Settings under the Options Menu. Then click on the VFAPI Plug-In Tab. The DGMPGDec File Reader should be listed.
Step Two: You can try copying (not moving) the DGVfapi.vfp file from the DGMPGDec DGIndex Directory (Folder) to the TMPGEnc directory (Folder).
Step Three: Repeat Step One. TMPGEnc should now show two DGMPGDec File Readers (or just one if DGIndex was installed incorrectly).
This shouldn't be necessary, but for some reason TMPGEnc was not correctly utilizing the DGVfapi.vfp unless it was installed in its own directory.
Cheers
