  1. For school, I want to show the short film "More" by Mark Osborne. The best HQ version I have acquired is a Quicktime .Mov file (specs: 420 x 260, 70 KB/s, and i think 15 fps). Well I guess I can't ask where I could get a HQ avi of Divx so instead i'll ask about converting. So I figured out that I would have to use TMPGEnc. But I'm confused what format I should use with the above specs I gave. So could anybody help me with this?

You could use the MOV file reader for TMPEG if you want a MPG file.
Use Rad Videotools if you want to convert to DivX...

You can find these under the "Tools" section...

It's up to you... I'm not sure what gives the best motion when the input is 15fps...
Encode a few seconds of each and compare which gives the best result...
Also, what region do you live in..?
If you live in region 1, NTSC should be the way to go... If you live in region 2, PAL should be the way...
(The regions I mean are the DVD regions...)

  5. I assume North America is regio 1. I plan to present this w/ only a DVD player and a regular 4:3 tv set.

  6. It seems to cut off the right side. I'm looking at the aspect ratios, any idea?

Don't have TMPEG on this Comp...
But there are 2 keep aspect ratio, the first one (I think) is the best...

But there is a center and keep aspect I think...
