just wondering if anyone has this and what they think? more commonly refered to as VOIP.
i hooked myself up today and i must admit the clarity of voice was very good, not to mention i could save $5, and all the stuff you would normally pay for(caller id, call waiting, etc......) is inculded.
your thoughts ?

I've been looking into this also but considering how cheap calling cards are I haven't found anything cheap enough to justify the switch.
I do believe that the time will come... -
i just did the "Vonage" thing. after rebate, the hardware is free. monthly charge including taxes is $27.34, unlimited calling to anywhere in the US, and i could care less about the complaints that 911 doesn't work the way it should. clarity is great.
i am happy w ith it...... -
Coming to a power point near you.
In Tasmania downder there is a devcise being tested in 550 homes in one suburb. The devise plugs straight into a powerpoint and can connect directly to broadband for the cost of a local call and phone calls cost Au 10cents. The trails are proving the devise is 100% reliable. Also, there are no monthly line charges, very much sounds like this be the future. -
