Try DIVfix, it might not help, but it is free and fast. Everyone should have this great, free utility. I used it as below to quickly fix an AVI that would just stop at a certain point due to a spot with bad frames:

You can d/l DIVfix from the creator's site, run it right off [no install necessary], and it will fix an AVI with bad spots all in 1 swell foop.

I backed up the AVI just in case, turns out there was no need to,
it created a fixed AVI with a different name ~"DIVfix." prepended to the original
    filename.

    Open the original, glitched AVI
    Check "Cut out bad parts"
    Click file/rebuild.
It runs real fast, fixed AVI is 8 seconds shorter - I couldn't even
find where the glitch used to be.

    p-pa

  3. I tried running them all through divfix as you said , but when svcd2dvd has compiled the dvd , then still gradually run out of sync... this is on power dvd and windows media player.
    Anybody got any other tips?
