  1. Hi,

I am using Napster to download music to my HD in wma format. I am wondering if there is a way to convert these files to mp3 as I am unable to add these files to Nero to burn a cd. Is this because of a copyright protection issue? I tried using Nero Wave Editor to convert to mp3 as well but it wouldnt let me do that either. I have a huge mp3 collection and am adding these wma's to my collection but would prefer to keep it all in one format. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  3. I have a friend(wink, wink) that captures analog(WAV) using Audacity while playing the WMA with WMP.In Audacity and Windows Volume Control he(wink, wink) sets the input as Stereo Mix,Wave Out,etc.
I...ahem...I mean my friend...recommends exporting to WAV to make a CD(better quality),you can export to MP3 later.

  4. Downloaded and installed per *your friends* reccomendations. Where exactly do I set the settings for stereo mix, wave out? Do I load Audacity and hit record then play the wma in wmp? Thanks!

  5. There should be a box in Audacity near the top to select input(it might be called something else on your soundcard) then hit record and play the song in WMP.Another thing Audacity is set to record mono as default(why?..good question),go to Preferences and set to stereo. When recording keep the level <100%(<0dB) to prevent clipping.
