An observation...........comments?

I have found a brand of DVD-R that works just fine when backing up commercial dvd movies using apps such as Shrink, DVD-lab and DVDFab.

But lateley have found that dowloading movies that, at least some have had like 2-6 passes with CCE, while they burn and play fine at first they seem to be very hot and after a while errors start showing up as in stuttering/freezing. And if it goes on to far then CRC errors develop.

So........whats this about and is there anything to be done......I've trired reparing some of these by burning them with Shrink and this seems to help but they're still heating up and with one movie i got half way through it before it started to stutter and freeze!

This is a real pain not mention a waste of time if it can't be rectified!

Sounds like the brand of discs that you say 'work just fine' don't work well at all. Please update your profile with your computer/burner specs. Also, what discs are you using?
