    ok here is the problem Im having I have an xvid format and can not extract because winzip nor winrar reconize them. I have extracted them with winrar but they still remain the same. usually on the 2nd process I use extract here but it is not reconized. ex of file (alliance-shm1-xvid.001) all the way up to (alliance-shm1-xvid.49)..

    how do I extract to avi for viewing and to later record on dvdr. This is the first time I have seen them like this and is very confused on how to get them to work or what software will fix this problem.

    Hardly a video related problem, I must say... The site that provided the movie should have instructions on how to unpack it, right?
