Cutting up VOB ( Main Move) for Editing in Vegas 5

Hello all;

The main objective for this post is to present my grandchildren with clean, edited movies.
Here goes..... I am familar with DVD Shrink and it's Re-Author feature in regards to Cutting out unwanted material within the main move. However! when the finished, burned DVD is played in the home DVD player, the movie pauses for at least 1 sec. at the point where I cut out the unwanted material and then resumes play until it reaches the next point where it was clipped and again resumes play.
My question is this...... Is there a way to change the VOB (Main Move) file to a format that I can drag to the timeline in Vegas 5?. This is where I can cut and clip till the cows come home and then render it as an Mpeg2 to be used in DVD Architech 2. This way I would have an uninterrupted movie, NO Pauses! Is this possible?

Try to name the file from VOB to .MPG, OR demux the Vob and use that in Vegas,and one more OR try Videoredo,there is no re-encoding of the Video.

I also like Cuttermaran for cutting MPG,price is right to FREE.
