which of the two, and that is all the choices ihave really is better to get
the store i bought my microsolutionbackup which is a nec 3500 the usb portion of the backup thing is having issues, and the warranty i bought is an over the counter exchange
and all i have
is a choice of the two above.. i dont get all this cav pcav zclv stuff

The sony drive is a rebadged LITEON. Just thought I'd let you know. Check out the LITEON & LG FORUMS at CDFREAKS.COM to help you decide which one to purchase.

Some people rave about the LG 4163 and seem to like the 5163 just as much. I really am not a fan of Liteon DVD burners so I would stick with the LG.

The external LG is sounds great I wish I had the $$ to get one, I shouldnt have bought this 109, dispite what lord smurf says its not that hot.

Here is a very complete article on the LG. I agree with the above. My LG burns as well as my NEC. My Liteon is good only for scans and CDs.
