hey i have a samsung scd67 that just last night i figured out how to use it as a webcam for msn messenger. the only problem is, the camera has the auto shutoff feature that shuts the camera off after a couple of minutes. does anyone know a workaround for this? ive looked through all the cameras settings and found nothing. i also tried running it with just a battery, and with it plugged in and it makes no difference. i also want to set this camera up as a security camera through messenger, so i can see whats going on in my house when im gone, but i wont be able to do it if it keeps shutting off.

I’m not familiar with that cam, but with most make sure you don’t have a tape in it. When you load a tape the cam goes to record standby mode and will want to turn off in about three to five minutes to save record head wear.

Correct. Remove the tape and the camera won't shut off.
