  1. has anyone tried this dvd...
the drive seemed to be just whirring endlessly...
    the dvd player won't play...
    smartripper, dvdx, flaskmpeg(w/ decss)won't rip...

(when another dvd was tried, everything worked fine and when playing this dvd on a standalone player/tv, it worked fine)

    thanks...

  3. same....check the bottom of the disk and see if it's dirty, scratched, etc....

with my dvd player..sometimes it takes awhile for the dvd to load up...u should prolly just wait a lil' bit after u put in the dvd into the dvd-rom

  7. yeah, it looked ok...
the dvd decrypter tool was able to decrypt the .ifo file and vob's 1-3.
near the end of vob 4, there was a read error (reading vob's 3 and 4 was very slow at times...
less than 200Kb/s)...i didn't bother to try vob's 5-7. i did this twice and the same error occurred.
strangely enough, the dvd, the movie plays fine on the standalone player.
    oh well...thanks for the inputs
