  1. hello i am band new to this vcd thing, i am into the ps2 backup stuff. I can do all steps up to this... whenever i use the mpegenc program to open up the .avs file i get an error saying file not supported or cant be opened. I am ripping tomb raider. some1 please help if u help me ill let u downlaod off my ftp, or u can download a ps2 game. please help

    When you open up TMPGEnc and select Option>Enviormental settings and click the VFAPI plug-in tab and uncheck DirectShow Multimedia File Reader. Click OK.
    Also make sure that you don't close DVDx, just minimize it.
    Now it should work.

  3. i already did that, i tried unchecking and then chekcing it again and still didnt work some1 please help me. could it be im using winxp?

    I know its not XP because even though I wrote that guide on ME I've tried the technique on XP Pro and it works fine on my computer.

  5. and make sure you have the Avisynth.dll in your system directory and sometimes it just doesnt connects try to use this patch:

    and or try to use Xmpeg to frameserve to TMPGEnc ..it allway conects on me

    Note that that patch is to modify programs to change all references of AVi to AVS, this is for programs that won't open AVS scripts normally. If you need to install AVISynth make sure to use the reg file included in the zip from videotools.net

  8. did you install all the files need in the rite directory???..did you register the AVsynth.dll with the registry files it came with????...did you uncheck the directshow Filters in TMPGenc???? ..if you did and it still doesnt work try the AVIwrapper instead
