I remember a while back someone posted some european personal web site that had HDTV screengrabs of this very attractive female news anchor. Does anyone happen to have a link to the site? Or the name of the lady?

Naked news started 4 years ago on Russian TV (I use to receive that channel through satellite, I believe it was REN TV - or was it Moscow 6?). Then it went to Scandinavia, France and now shows on Britain (I don't remember, must be Living TV)

What they do is telling the news and at the same time doing a strip tease.
IMHO, that's the only way to watch the News thosedays....

It originated in Canada (Toronto) accually .. Nakednews is still canadian owned, filmed and produced in Toronto.

It was on CityTV here (over the air - non pay and cable) but ...

"CityTV in Toronto has a long tradition of pushing sexual content on its audience. Decades ago, when it was a small UHF upstart (now it is completly VHF/UHF Cable), it gained acclaim by airing “Blue Movies,” the antiquated term for soft-core pornography. These late night offerings still exist, and management at CityTV must have felt Naked News was the perfect lead into the “Blues.”

But just three weeks after its first run, Naked News was stripped from CityTV’s schedule, and moved to “Sex TV,” a cable channel owned by CityTV’s parent company, CHUM Limited. Undoubtedly, the nude newscast will reach a much smaller audience on cable as opposed to the on-air slot it previously had.

Hardly afraid to air sexually provocative programming in the past, my curiosity prompted me to phone CHUM Limited and ask why the program was shelved. Expecting to get a “stuffed shirt” response about difficulties with selling advertising after a smiling naked woman talks about war and poverty, I was instead greeted by a more than helpful receptionist named Lucy.

Excitedly she told me she knew all about Naked News because she had just finished auditioning for the show. But amid her excitement and obvious enthusiasm, she gave me an enlightening remark.

It turns out Naked News was pulled off of CityTV because, using Lucy’s words, “It seemed like anyone between 30 and 45, especially parents, called in and really complained.” Though complants for CityTV's soft porn over the air offerings were fairly nill .. "

"Naked News debuted on Sky Channel 235 on August 11, 2004 and ceased airing last Friday February 18, 2005. Within minutes after the programme did not air, questions from loyal fans began pouring in," said Ms. Kwan. She also added: "In the meantime the programme is available every day at www.NakedNews.com".

"Notwithstanding the audience share that Naked News generated, Get Lucky TV feels it is important to concentrate on its core Interactive content at this time," said Patrick Holliday at Sky Channel 235 (Get Lucky TV).
