any suggestions on how to get the best quality out of RMVB's to DVD? from experience on making a few DVD's, when doing MPEG's to DVD i usually keep the video and just change the audio with besweet. but with RMVB's ive been using WinAvi and converting it straight to DVD, i was just wondering if the picture quality would be better if i did RMVB to MPEG then change the audio bitrate to burn as DVD or should i just do RMVB straight to DVD? thanks in advance

It makes little difference. I always like to do as few conversions as necessary.

However, you have to understand that your question is akin to:
"I have to date an ugly girl or her uglier sister. Which should I do?"
The correct answer is "neither". Stop using RMVB. Excise all Real Networks software from your machine, and become a happier man.
