  1. Hi, I am using Winavi 8.0 to convert my RMVB files. Do I get better video quality if I choose the highest quality setting when converting to Mpeg2? Thank you.

    No. You can't regain quality in a video by re-encoding. You can filter it to make it look better, to some extent (subjectively), but you can't improve the quality.

    Also, any re-encoding will usually cause an additional quality hit.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
