Hi!
I have this problem. When I capture video from my digital camcorder I have the date recorded on the tape. I can see the date when I connect the Videocamera to my TV, but when I capture the video using the FireWire then the date isn't visible on the video in the computer.
I'm using Pinnacle Studio 9 and the sound and the picture is captured correctly except for the date.
Anyone who has a clue on what I could do to solve this?

The date is embedded in the DV file. It is not part of the actual image. You have your camera set to display the date on playback.
I am not sure how you get the date to display when playing back on your PC, it would have to be a feature of whatever software you are using.
