  1. When burning a VCD from a DVD, is there any way (or tool) to keep the sound like in the DVD (5+1), not only stereo?.

    I don't believe vcd is 5.1 capable, you need to make an svcd if you want this feature.

    yeah, http://www.labdv.com is a good site for that...I think that you have to have Linux to do it...and even then I don't think that all players can play it...

    therick, that is only available in svcds, not vcds and I think so far only philips dvd players have been shown to support it.

    Nope vcd is only capable of cd quailty sound dvd quailty is way above that. However I have a dvd 2 vcd guide which will convert the dolby digital 2 dolby surround sound which I think sounds just as good in terms of where the sound is coming from and sound quailty isn't bad either.

    never said that is was for vcds...KDiddy and I posted at the same time...I was running on the last thing somersby said "you need to make an svcd if you want this feature."
