I am totally new to this technology so if I am posting a question that shouldn't be here forgive me , I have many DVD Movies that I would like to make copies of so that I could just use my copy movie instead of the original ( damage reason ) Any ways could someone suggest as to what program works best or what most are using ??? I have heard of DVD X Copy Platinum and 1Click DVD Copy are these programs any good ?? if money has no object which would you choose ? Thanks

    Hello,

    DVDSHRINK - It's free

    Or dvddecrypter.

You can rip to iso with dvddecrypter - shrink with dvdshrink - have it in iso form then burn the iso with dvddecrypter - no need for a pay program at all.

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

DVD Shrink to edit, encode and shrink, DVD Dcrypter to burn to a single ISO file .... both applications are FREE.

  4. Hi ... Thanks for the quick response but I'm affraid to say I really don't understand your terms below , I have never copy or burn anything before , And I am curious if there is a program that is very simple to use , Are those ones that you mention like so ? I don't even know if this is right or not but Is there a program that does everything ( all in one ) where as I just need to select as few options as possible ? More or less I am a first timer and I am still learning how to use a computer , Though any advise I recieve is much appreciated , Thanks

  5. blinky88 did a nice job of writing a beginner's guide to using these programs.

You can also look through the 'HOW TO' guides on the left, here on the site. They're easy to use, DVD Shrink basically will do it all for you if you'd like it to, or you can do some fine tuning of how the discs get compressed as you become more familiar with the program.

    LOL...

You won't actually need Nero or Roxio to do DVD Copies, just do any compression that might be necessary with DVD Shrink, output as an ISO image as described in the guide(s) I provided, then have DVD Decrypter burn the resulting ISO image. It's essentially foolproof, not to mention free.

funny, i LOST this computer playing scissors paper comb...

my vote goes for DVDshrink on this one. do you have any differently region coded discs you need to rip? i use an early version of DVDshrink (v1.3) for this...no need to mess about with region codes on your computer, which is useful.
