  1. I have a divx DVD player and I have a certain "formula" I follow to reencode files to throw onto DVDs so I'm certain they'll play on it. I usually throw them through VDub and I have no problem with one pass through, but I've noticed, mainly with files with animation in them, sometimes I'll get artifacting. Sometimes this'll be very light and unnoticeable unless you're looking for it, other times everytime there's movement on the screen whatever's moving will leave a trail of blocks. Now this is usually an avi, divx/xvid/etc to just divx/5.11 under Home Theater settings, so it's not like I'm trying to pull off any crazy transformations or anything. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated as to the probable source of the problem or how to fix it. btw - These files are usually around 175 MB and about 21 min long, and they are of decent quality, so I know it's not the source being lousy.
