    ok i want to know how to crop a video, i downloaded something and its got a banner of a website at the bottom, any ideas?

    Video -> Filters -> Add -> add any filter (use Null Transform if you don't need any other filtering). Go back a step, back at the Filters dialog press the Cropping... button. Mark what you want to keep.

    Select compression codec and parameters, then Save as AVI.
