  1. Guys,

I would like to know if there's a tool out there I can use to remove closed caption from VOB files?

    Thank You

Why? Just ignore it/turn it off. Doesn't use up more than a few kB.

  3. I assume you mean you want to remove fixed captions, meaning those captions included in the MPEG2 encoding rather than those selectable by the player. If so then, you need to use VirtualdubMod and the Delogo filter. This will introduce a blrurring effect where the captions used to be, which will probably be more distracting than the captions....

  4. i can't turn it off. I downloaded the movie from the internet and it has that option by default. Every other movie I have plays without closed caption. I already checked the options within the dvd and they're gray out.

Then they're probably not closed captioned. The "closed" in CC means that they're hidden unless you turn them on with your TV/decoder.

You may have "Forced" DVD subtitles, which can be gotten around, or maybe burned-in titling, which can't.

edit--wow that was fast! missed mh2360's post.

Hey, everybody would understand better if the term "closed captions" was reserved for that actual process, maybe try to use the generic "titles" or "subtitles" which is really what you're referring to.
Once it's burned into the picture, it'll never be completely gone without ruining the picture. That's like taking the vocals out of a mono song.
