When transfering from DV to Avid, does this actually transfer to a DV file or do you have to select a DV codec and export to the DV format?
I just couldn't find a way to export my capture and didn't want to re-encode to DV twice.
Thanks for any help.

It's been awhile since I used it but Avid Free DV seemed to do what the others do, that is ...
transfer the DV stream to a temporary DV-AVI file, then extract from this file or group of files to create a timeline project file. The project file contains only edit list data. A new DV file is created only when you export.
