I am using TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress to covert a avi to m2v in video only mode. I have tested on the first 1600 frames and the last 1600 frames, and it ran smoothly without any problem. But when I let it run on the whole thing, it gave an error message of 'Failed to initialize the VFAPI Frame Sever'. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The GSpot output:
The plugin setting in TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress:

Thanks for the suggestion...but looks like I will be stuck with Xpress for a while, before I can get ahold of a full version of tmpgenc.
I have used 3.0 Xpress to convert a few avi's already, and it is fair to say that it has been pretty convenient to set it up and run in a batch mode. But this one is strange, and I can not find any clue on this server.
Sorry that the images I tried to post did not show. GSpot shows that the video is Xvid encoded with a 23.9...FPS. So I think it is in NTSC and output to a NTSC formated m2v file. Is it possible that something screwed up here?
For the preference setup in plug-in settings, I checked everything in the upper panel, and the bottom two in the lower panel which include MPEG-1 Decoder and DirectShow Filters, I think.
