Have various vid files that I want to encode to h264 for playback on the PS3.
The PAL ones work fine, but some others when I encode them the audio comes out fine but the pictures run far too fast (about 20 mins for movie).
Anyone know what Im doing wrong?
Thanks

I've seen that with x264 which defaults to decoding with ffmpeg. Try setting Decode with Quicktime in the Options tab. That option requires the video to play okay in QuickTime Player, so make sure you have the correct QT components (e.g. DivX decoder for DivX/XviD AVIs).

Not much help, but see also my note about this from almost 3 years ago here, with respect to MPEG2 encoding. At the time, it did in fact seem to be the ffmpeg component, and I got it working by downgrading that component to an earlier one. The idea of having Quicktime do the decoding bypasses ffmpeg as well. I haven't looked to see whether there's been a newer version of ffmpeg that doesn't have this problem.
