I'm sorry if this has been covered already, but...

What's the best way to calibrate my monitor so that what I see on the screen while capturing is pretty much what I will see on the TV?

Also, another question... I know that with my Hauppauge 250 card, I have 2 options: Normal mode, where it shows the video being captured, but what you are see has already been encoded and then decoded by a codec.. There is about a 2 second delay in this mode. Then there is pass-through mode where you see the video in real-time.

Is it a good idea to use the normal mode or the pass-through mode? Or will I really not have any idea what it looks like until I author, burn, and play it back on a DVD player?
