Did you update the firmware for the drive at any time. Also try backing up NERO to a earlier release around Sep to see if that might help. Getting the same result with different brand of media? You are going to need to do some trouble shooting to determine if the problem is hardware, software or media. I would bet it is related to hardware and then software.

yes i did update to v1.30 it did work but it would only let me copy at one speed but if i take it out of my computer and put it in a other computer it works fine at 4x ive even formatted my computer still the same how
do i downgrade my pioneer plz can u help me thanks -
Could be your BIOS settings. Check them out. If it works in one it has to work in another. Reset to default and then to your preferred settings. Maybe upgrade...

thanks m8 i will try that and see if that works could it be that like

Check your IDE settings under device manager. Make sure it (the drive) is runing in Transfer Mode (UDMA Mode 2 and not PIO mode. You can find this under the primary or secondary IDE channels, "Advanced Settings", whichever one your drive is connected to.THis can cause the drive to write slower also.

don't need to downgrade your FW. 1.30 is just fine for 4x burning (works for me). Roll up your sleeves and get down to how different your setup is on both PC's. What makes it work on one and not the other?
If your PC was formatted then there is only 1 thing that remained the same: hardware setup. Move it to a different cable position, check your jumper settings. Check, upgrade (flush) your BIOS (!), viruses do screw things up in BIOS. Google for your errors and symptoms. The answer is usually much simpler the you would expect... -
thanks proxyx99 for all your help
i just need it to work till next week iam getting a new pc
it works in a other computer
i can copy cdrs at 16x and there work fine but not dvds it just fails right away with that same error all the time

thanks for yor help proxyx99 -
If you have dropped DVD writing ability but CDR functions OK then your drive is toast. Not a big deal. New drives are faster, better and cheaper. A week ago one of my 19 inch monitors has died (have 3). I was upset. A friend gave me a store address for a quick replacement (refurbs). Went there and bought brand new, never used return 19 inch flat IBM trinitron for 100 bucks (I just love CRT's). What a blessing. I told my son that it could not have happened at a better moment. There's always a bright side.
