  2. The video card (no idea) is where your problem lies. You can get a video card with an RCA out jack. Be warned though, stuff that looks great on a computer can looks like ass on a TV...

Look for a video card that has an out to tv option.

It will either be S-video or RCA

Usually, most video cards have S-video on them. My old Geforce MX440 had a S-video connector so the Geforce Ti 4200 will certainly have it too.

  6. You can also use a scan converter.

I have a few Hyperconverters that I bought on ebay.

The text usually stinks when viewed on a TV.

They are cheap and you won't have to install a new video card.

o ok, so basically my comp IS compatible, but exactly what tools (cables) do i need to hook up my TV. i see an S-VIDEO thingy on my comp but my TV only has the 3-analog (red, white, yellow) connection slots, and the regular cable wire. im pretty sure there is no way to get in through the cable wire, so how do i connect it through the 3-analog slots?

If you only have s-video on the PC you can buy an adapter
for S-VIDEO------>RCA and connect to the yellow on the TV.

For the audio use a cable like these...

Plug the mini into the LINE OUT on your sound card.

Plug the RCAs into the RED and WHITE on the TV.

You can also buy pre-made AV cables.

S-VIDEO out from the PC to VIDEO INPUT on the VCR might
work but the text might look terrible.

But.....maybe the VCR can't be set up as a 'TV OUT' device
    in your video card settings.

A thing majiggy and a doo hicky???
