im looking for the series of card that we hook up from the comps power switch to the mobo, and then are connected to the ide led, the speakers and thepower led pin connectors on my mother board, i just switch the mobo in my compaq case to a hp, and i think im not getting no power dure the slots and connectots not being in the right place, even if im wrong, can someone please point me in the right direction to what i want.

I'm not sure what you mean by series of card but the power switch and LED's are usually connected to a series of pins directly in the motherboard. My compaq case had one large block with all the switches and led connections on it. This was obviously proprietary to Compaq so you couldn't connect the entire block of pin sockets to a motherboard other than a Compaq one. I'm not sure if HP does the same but they probably do. You might have to cut the block into pieces or cut of the wires and put new ending on it, then connect each set of pin connectors to the right place on the motherboard.

For example this is a set of pins on the motherboard
1 and A might be for the power switch, but if the HP case has an entire block the power switch might be located at 9 and J
If you read really carefully on the motherboard it should actually be written which pins are for what, ie. the power switch could be marked with PWR_SW
as far as I know there are no standards for the pin locations. -
yes i am talking abou the ones at the front of the case, the problem, is i dont have the mobo book, cause im fixing this thing fior someone...im just looking toi buy those cords, do the y come in a kit oo something
