  1. Hi there!

(didn't know what forum to entry this topic, since it involves authoring + shrinking...)

Here's the deal: I've authored a DVD with DVD-Lab Pro, but it came out as a 6.5 Gb file (the main movie is kinda big). Then I got this file and tried to shrink it with DVD Shrink. It came out a faulty DVD, totally messed up on the disc...didn't know what happened. but ok, then I tried to shrink it with Intervideo DVD Copy.
It finished, but when I open the folder (where the files were supposed to be) there's only a Video_ts folder there and NOTHING inside...

    What's going on??

Some information about this DVD I've compiled:

-it uses still pics + mp3 music on menus
-the main movie is a mpeg2 file that has a mpa (is this the name?) I mean, mpeg-audio encoded with the video.
    -It uses an opening sequence

I don't know what's happening.... has this ever happened to anyone?

    thanx

  2. MP3 is not dvd spec. Won't work.
You cannot mix mpa and mp3 on the same disk, in the same VTS.
Encode ALL audio to the same bitrate, format and 48khz freq.

  3. oops, so that's the problem! Thanx! Do u know if I can convert mp3 to mpa using Soundforge? I mean, is mpa a valid audio format (even without a video "attached"to it)?

So I would convert my mp3 files for some mpa and put them on the menus.

    thanx!

  4. Use ffmpeggui and transcode everything to AC3 (which is DVD spec).
