    don't know where to ask this. But was wondering how to hook up my laptop to my dvd recorder to record my movies. I've got some movies that i have saved and tryed hooking through the s-video port on puter but does not show up on recorder. i'm a newbie at this stuff and was needing some help if possible..

    You need a capture card to do it on your computer.

    Need more info.
    Stand alone DVD recorder I assume?
    Maybe use a cam with pass thru?
    Maybe bad connection?
    Does you PC out via s-vid work straight to TV S-vid in or VCR?
    Tell us what you have.
    IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?
