    Can anyone
Tell me when I record on skysat2 on my pc (2.4 Mhz, 300 Gb h/disk)when I burn it it plays ok on my dvd player but never on my friends? Is it due to the fact for some unknown logic I have played the dvd first time on my own dvd and therefore its not accepted by other dvd players? weird huh?

any theories on this and ways to overcome it are welcome.

You burned the mpeg 2 files as is on the DVD right?
If so, seems like your DVD standalone support mpeg 2 playback, while your friends ones no

The only other possibilitie I can think off are is that you author a xDVD. Which authoring application you use?

I also own a SkyStar 2 card and the files "as is" won't play neither can just used for authoring with TMPGenc author. Most of the need re-encoding to a valid DVD framesize or re-muxx to get the correct mpeg 2 flags so to be recorniced from the various applications.
